HAND/FOOT/BODY SCREEN
AND MONITORING SET

Set of 6:

The classic rod handle set comprising the original Semmes-Weinstein 5 monofilament screen monofilaments Bell-Krotoski designed initially as a "Mini Kit" to include the most important monofilaments for hand or body screen, monitoring, or mapping -  additionally including the 10 gram level to make one set suitable for testing both the hands and feet.

A
"Mini Kit" reduced version of the long set was created in 1978, selecting monofilaments most critical in testing and monitoring peripheral neuropathy. These were used in testing for hands and feet and all over the body, including the face.

Many hand therapists as well as pedorthotists have requested an additional monofilament between the 4 gram and 300 gram levels. A 10 gram level has become popular for screening the diabetic foot around the world. The Set of 6 consists of all of the most useful and frequently needed monofilaments for screening and monitoring the hands and feet, as well as the rest of the body, including the face.

Note: For normative testing, inclusion of the lighter monofilaments from the original 20 monofilament set is recommended.
