Ideal for
draping on hand or body part leaving two hands of fabricator free to do all
splint molding in one application ... ideal for the experienced splinter
- but the thermoplastic can stick to itself -
know how to use this material. The degree of adhesion to skin can be
controlled by immersing in room temperature water a couple of seconds after
heating until clear. The material releases from skin once cool, or can be lifted
slightly when cooling to reduce time required. This makes the most precisely
fitting splint.
New splint fabricators might want to first order the Non
Adherent coated.

Ideal for
draping but coating prevents it from sticking to hand or body part, and harder
to make conform precisely to part splinted. The coating can be scratched with
fingernail slightly where a bond of the thermoplastic is desired. (See
instructions for bonding) Best for new splint fabricators.
